Department of Hindi is one of the earliest departments of the college. It was headed by many eminent scholars over the years. Department is connected to all the undergraduate students of the college through Hindi language as a compulsory subject. Hindi Literature is one of the most favoured subjects for both undergraduate and post graduate students which is reflected in the fact that at the undergraduate level the student strength is above 200 and at the PG level it has 80 students. The department has produced many teachers and professors in its journey of 57 years. The department is presently headed by Dr Anand Kumar Ajnodiya who is an alumnus of this department. The other regular faculty is Shri Sanjay Kumar Prajapati. The department has asked for more posts to cope with the rising number of students every academic year.
