The Department of Physics came into existence along with the college I 1964. It was made into a PG Department with M. Sc. Physics in the year 1991. The department has three regular faculties. Dr. Ravi Paliwal is currently heading the department. The other faculties are Dr. P. S. Malviya and Shri Ravi Rathore. The department has good student strength both in UG and PG. Put together the department has over 500 students. The department has a well-equipped laboratory, and it has separate laboratory spaces for UG and PG. It has a departmental library with about 250 books, both reference and text.
