The Department of Geography came into existence in the year 1971 when Govt. of Madhya Pradesh took over the college which was hitherto a private college. Geography as a subject has always been preferred by students owing its proximity to Science, though it is offered as an optional subject in Arts stream. With the ups and downs in student strength the department has withstood the test of time and presently it has full student strength both at UG and PG levels. It has the distinction of the only PG department in the subject in the district of Shajapur. The department has a well-equipped laboratory and a departmental library with more than 400 books. One Lab Technician and a Lab Assistant are posted in the department.
